MScBMC student Alex Young wins Gordon Cressy Award

MScBMC (1T9) student Alex Young received a Gordon Cressy Student Leadership Award on Monday, April 22, 2019 at Convocation Hall.

“The Gordon Cressy Student Leadership Awards were established in 1994 by the University of Toronto Alumni Association (UTAA) and the Division of University Advancement in order to recognize students who have made outstanding extra-curricular contributions to their college, faculty or school, or to the university as a whole.”

Alex was recognized for his “selfless devotion to leadership, community-building, and service.” He has served as a proactive and involved class representative, as a member of the design team for the IMS student magazine, and as an ambassador to other graduate student bodies within the Institute of Management and Innovation and the Translational Research Program. Outside of the University, he has also served as part of the Infinite Potentials Strategy of the Métis Nation of Ontario Youth Council.

Congrats, Alex!
