Health + Wellness at UofT

Wellness refers to your overall physical, emotional, intellectual, spiritual and social condition, not simply the absence of illness. So when you’re not feeling your best, there are a number of services on campus to help you get back on track. Visit the UofT Health & Wellness website  for more information.

Health Insurance

All students have health insurance coverage, through their provincial health insurance plan (OHIP for Ontario residents) or the University Health Insurance Plan (UHIP) for international and exchange students. Students also have supplemental coverage through the Graduate Students’ Union  for full-time graduate students. These plans do not replace OHIP or UHIP; rather, they provide limited coverage for some health-care expenses that are not covered such as prescription medications, vision care and dental care.
