Submitting Your MRP

All Students

  1. Final Approval Form including all required signatures (2-­3 depending on the MRP committee structure).

  2. Typed Minutes of the three required committee meetings.

In addition, a copy of your project must be submitted in accordance with the following:

Media Design Field

For the Media Design field MRP submission requirements, please submit:

  • One clearly labelled copy of an MRP USB flash drive including

    • This includes:

      • final project files of your project

      • The compressed (h.264) version of your MRP screencast

      • Two high-res images

      • Your meeting minutes (in Word or PDF format)

    • Submitted to:

      • The office, for the BMC archives

      • The office, for the BMC library to be loaned out

      • Optionally, extra copies for your supervisor and your content expert

  • One set of digital media

    • This includes:

      • final project files of your project

      • The compressed (h.264) version of your MRP screencast

      • Two high-res images

      • Your meeting minutes (in Word or PDF format)

    • Submitted to:

      • The Video Editing Suite Overlord account

      • The file path is: BMC Video Files Drive > BMC MRP Archive > 3D Animation > [graduation year] > [a folder in the form “Lastname, Firstname”]

    • The department will upload your compressed animation to the Biomedical Communications Vimeo account for online viewing.

  • Paper copy of Final Approval Form

    • This includes:

      • All required signatures

    • Submitted to:

      • The office

  • The student is responsible for ensuring the supervisor and scientific advisor have appropriate access to the project for non-profit and educational purposes.

Visualization Design Field

For the Visualization Design Field MRP submission requirements, please submit:

  • One clearly labelled copy of an MRP USB flash drive

    • This includes:

      • The minimally compressed (Prores4444) version of your MRP

      • The compressed version of your MRP

      • Two high-res images

      • Your meeting minutes (in Word or PDF format)

    • Submitted to:

      • The office, for the BMC archives

      • The office, for the BMC library to be loaned out

      • Optionally, extra copies for your supervisor and your content expert

  • One set of digital media

    • This includes:

      • The minimally compressed (Prores4444) version of your MRP

      • The compressed (h.264) version of your MRP

      • Two high-res images

      • Your meeting minutes (in Word or PDF format)

    • Submitted to:

  • Final Approval Form

    • This is a paper copy submitted to the office.

    • This must including all required signatures (2–3 depending on the MRP committee structure).

  • Meeting Minutes

    • Typed, formatted minutes for at least three committee meetings, exported as pdf.

    • Include who was present, the date, and the points of discussion.

    • Make note of the “actionable” outcomes of each meeting.

    • Name: ABC_Lastname_F_Meeting_Minutes.pdf

  • Uncompressed Version of MRP

    • Export the full resolution (720p or 1080p) animation using ProRes4444 Quicktime .mov (Very high quality, <5–10 GB)

    • Include appropriate credits, funding, and title cards.

    • Name: ABC_Lastname_F_AnimationName_uncompressed.mov (or ABC_Lastname_F_AnimationName_ProRes4444.mov)

  • Compressed Version of MRP

    • Export the full resolution (720p or 1080p) using H.264 .mp4 or .mov.

    • Include appropriate credits, funding, and title cards.

    • Name: ABC_Lastname_F_AnimationName_h264compressed.mov

  • High-res images

    • Choose two different frames from your animation, illustrations, or screen captures from your project suitable for standalone presentation

    • Think how they would look with your name attached, on the wall, in a brochure, as a promotional postcard, as a discussion starter for your MRP, etc.

    • Export to tiff format

    • Name: ABC_Lastname_F_4K_Still_01.tif (and _02.tif)

Optional Distribution

  • Ask your content expert how they would like to be able to use your MRP and send custom digital files to them.

  • Update your promotional website with your new portfolio piece(s).

  • Share your MRP on the BMCAA forum (bmcaa.com).
