UTM Campus Highlights
The UTM Library, part of the U of T libraries system, is located within the Hazel McCallion Academic Learning Centre (HMALC), an award-winning teaching and learning facility. Named in honour of the City of Mississauga mayor, Hazel McCallion, the facility houses the library, the Robert Gillespie Academic Skills Centre (ASC), a cafe, fully digital environment, a state-of-the-art classroom, an adaptive technology centre and a finance learning centre. The 10,200 square metre, $34-million library opened for student use in October 2006.
Recreation, Athletics & Wellness Centre (RAWC)
The RAWC opened in September 2006. The facility offers: a 25 metre, 8 lane pool, 12 person hot pool, double gymnasium with seating for 880 spectators, new fitness centre, new studio, indoor running track and a sports medicine clinic. The RAWC Fitness Centre has a fitness cardio room, a High Performance Centre that is used for strength training and conditioning programs and a 3 lane, 200 m running track.
UTM Association of Graduate Students (UTMAGS)
UTMAGS represents all M.Sc, M.A, MBiotech, MMI, BMC and Ph.D. students who spend the majority of their academic and social time at UTM. UTMAGS represents the interests of UTM graduate students at the Graduate Students’ Union, Erindale College Council, Quality Service to Students Council, and several other UTM committees and organizes social events.
