Applicants admitted to the Program must complete the MScBMC Immunization Record and submit it to BMC. This form must be completed (by you and your health provider) and returned to the BMC office in time for the Anatomy orientation. It demonstrates that you are up-to-date on your immunizations, and that you have been screened for TB. The collection of records and the immunizations themselves can take some time, so you are encouraged to deal with this promptly.
This is required for all students who handle cadaver material as part of the meds anatomy course, and participate in operating room observation in local teaching hospitals.
These standards are in place principally to protect you, but also to protect patients and other health professionals with whom you might come into contact.
